The University of Washington Architecture Brigade is making its final preparations for their spring break Global Brigades trip to Honduras. For seven days the dynamic group of three will work to construct a health clinic in a rural community that lacks a dependable healthcare facility.

Bethany De Turk, advisor for the Architecture Brigade at UW, credits Buena Vida Coffee for helping to fund the upcoming trip.

"The Buena Vida fundraiser helped us to raise awareness of our cause and gain support for our trip," said De Turk. "Buena Vida fundraising is for a great cause on top of raising money for our volunteer trip... it is comforting to know that we made a difference in the lives of children AND helped support sustainable fair trade business for coffee growers."

The UW Architecture Brigade accumulated enough coffee sales to donate 61 meals to the Sociedad Amigos de los Niños orphanage in Honduras. Being located in the coffee capital of America (Seattle, WA), the Buena Vida Coffee team is most impressed by the group's accomplishment.

Buena Vida would like to express its gratitude to the Architecture Brigade at UW for choosing to fundraise the socially responsible way and spreading the good life through our delicious fair trade and organic coffee. We wish you luck and safe travels on your upcoming trip!
